What You Need To Know About Your Vagina And Working Out

When it comes to your vagina, there are some things you need to know that for some reason we are never taught, but like hey–I’m going to teach you now.

Don’t Put Fragrant Things Down There

There are those good smelling products like summers eve that are recommended to put on your lady bits but DON’T YOU DARE. It will not do what you think it’s going to do. Here’s the deal: the ingredients in these products aren’t real. What this means for you is that the fake fragrances will strip your PH levels down there. When this happens your body then has to work overtime to try and balance out. This can actually cause more harm than good and lead to actual bad smells and irritation. This means scented tampons as well + lube! Post workout, simply use water and never put anything directly inside of your vagina.

Don’t Leave Your Gym Clothes On

This is the main reason I wanted to write this article. Last year I knew something was up down there. I went to see my doc and she told me I had BV.

Bacterial vaginosis is a mild infection of the vagina caused by bacteria. (WebMD coming in clutch).

Basically when you leave your sweaty gym clothes on, you create a lovely little environment for bad bacteria to grow. Which can cause BV. The main symptom here is a smell like a very fishy one, and/or a grayish discharge.

If you’re someone who has to be out and about right after your workout, at least change your underwear post workout! If you can, cleanse with water!

I’m no a doctor and can’t diagnose anything, I just want you guys to know whats happening with your body. IF you are experiencing any issues, please see your doctor.
